This product provides a complete installation development environment (IDE) for creating setup packages that meet the installation requirements of the Windows 2000 Application Specification Windows 2000 Application Specification.
Getting Started
To get started on your setup project, click the New Project button on the toolbar. Once you've created a setup project you will see a checklist outlining the steps needed to create a complete setup. To navigate to a view in the installation development environment (IDE), simply click the shortcut in the checklist that corresponds to the task you need to accomplish for designing your setup.
For Continuing Express Customers
You can migrate your Express 2.x setup project to this new version of Express. To open a project created with Express 2.x or earlier, select Open from the File menu to display the File Open dialog. Then, select InstallShield Express Project (*.iwz) from the Files of Type list and browse to the project file.
The InstallShield Setup Map
The Setup Map provides an interactive tour of the IDE and illustrates all the steps needed to create a setup package from start to finish.
